New Oxford Consort Vocal sextet of elite young singers directed by Freddie Crowley. Their repertoire ranges from Renaissance to close-harmony and jazz: their programme includes works by Victoria, Tallis, Lobo and Stanford. Freddie sang as a chorister in Exeter Cathedral and was a Choral Scholar at Merton College, Oxford. Whilst still an undergraduate Freddie sang on the Voces Academy Musical Leadership Programme and was frequently on stage at the Oxford Playhouse. In June 2018 Freddie was selected as one of a new cohort of Genesis Sixteen singers: The Sixteen’s free young artists’ scheme which aims to nurture the next generation of top-talented ensemble singers.
