Elizabeth Bass

We are delighted to present prize-winning young harpist Elizabeth Bass who in 2016 became the first British person to reach the final of the USA International Harp Competition where she was awarded the Silver Medal. She has won many awards including the Camac Harp Competition and whilst at the Royal Academy of Music the Skaila Kanga Harp Prize and the Lady Theodore Holland Prize. She then studied in Helsinki with Sivan Magen.

Elizabeth freelances with various leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony, the Royal Philharmonic and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestras, and has performed as a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Town Hall and St. John’s Smith Square. She is a Live Music Now artist, a scheme founded by Yehudi Menuhin.

Her repertoire ranges from Handel, Scarlatti, Faure, Debussy and Liszt to pioneering contemporary works including those by Devon-based Patterson.
